Anyone have any information on either or both of these institutions?

The American City University Web site (http://www.americancityuni.edu/) is...well, a bit much, and they describe themselves as being licensed in Wyoming, which I don't believe involves significant evaluation.

Their catalog is more in-depth than I would have expected, though and they mention that their "principal undergraduate college" is London City College, which apparently has a campus in London and "has been fully accredited by the British Accreditation Council since 1985."

I'm not very familiar with the British education system and don't know what that means.

The catalog also mentions that the college has programs of study in South Africa, Greece, Russia, Egypt, Lebanon, the Philippines, and, recently India and Syria.

Thanks for any information anyone can provide--I have a question from our office in Lebanon, which wants to know about legitimacy and whether an actual U.S. campus exists. And I'm curious in general. Best regards,

London City College is properly licensed to provide instruction for which another school will grant a degree.

This is meaningful when the degree granting institution is a recognized British School.

When the degree granting institution is an unaccredited, Wyoming licensed, university?, one would have to question exactly what standards are being applied. If the normal Wyoming licensed education standards are being applied, look out.

In Wyoming, you pay a fee and get a license. Education standards are not a relevant factor in Wyoming licensing.

An opinion is that a legitimate English school wanted to give its own degrees so it set up its own university, with a Wyoming license. Just a guess, but I have seen it before.
