This degree has been mentioned before, but not discussed in depth. It's an inexpensive degree- under $12k including books, and allows you to complete an optional specialization (maybe even 2, it seems, depending on the specific courses you take) in areas such as Project Management and Executive Communications Skills.

I find the program to be very interesting, and as I mentioned in another thread, I think it has the potential to suit a wide variety of goals and possibilities I'm considering pursuing. I'm just wondering if those of you who are in-the-know in the business world think this degree is as useful as I seem to think it is. As you can tell by the name, it's not a pure business degree and it's not a pure human service or social science degree- it's a blend of such. I imagine (and my imagination is limited to my experience, which is why I feel the need to ask about this!) that this degree could be quite useful for someone who is interested in working for non-profits or who wants to have a less traditional role in an organization (there is always some new-fangled position being invented by some innovator or another), or even somebody who is not in the business world but would benefit from being able to demonstrate business sensibilities.

I know some of you are in the hiring-and-firing professions, and some of you are entrepreneurs. What would you think of this degree as opposed to an MBA, a Masters in Leadership or a Masters in Management?
