Hi guys I'm doing the Aleks college alegebra, math is not one of my best tools but Im doing it very frustrated got a 43 on an assesment and now cant wait for a 70, Has any one taken it and if so I need some positive words I'm growing tire and I need this for my requirement or else more money and more un wanted classes,
I'm currently doing ALEKS Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences (in addition to two AMU grad courses). Sometimes it feels like I am beating my head aginst the desk, but it's one of those things you just have to keep doing if you want to get it done. Good luck!
thanks I wish I could just finish over night but can't be done Im on the computer all the time, but like you said it must be done,
Take your time on assessments. If you have to get up and take a break in the middle of them to clear your head, do it. If you log out in the middle of an assessment, it will pick up where you left off. Along with the ALEKs pie stuff, take a look at places like PurpleMath and get an idea of some of the math you haven't encountered in ALEKs yet. ALEKs will throw stuff at you in the assessments that you haven't done yet. But if you know how to do things prior, if you answer the question correctly, it will move you ahead. So, the big thing is to take your time. Double and triple check your math before you submit the answer. And you can force assessments at a faster pace by going into your Master Account login and telling it to give an assessment. Just remember that if you miss questions that you've already been through the module, you *can* lose percentage points and put yourself behind where you were when you started.
,, thats is one of the things that I also notice of it gives you new topics mixed in with the old topics,
43% on your first assessment is GREAT by the way! I have about 12 hours into stats and I'm only at 37%. Keep chugging along, you only need to assess at 70%, so if you complete your pie up to about 75% and then go take the assessment- you'll likely be VERY close.

Keep googling for calculators and you too can be an expert! Algebrator is very helpful but you have to put out a little $$. It's not cheating, it's being resourceful. Good luck.
