Hi guys I wanted to know if anyone has done the college algebra with Aleks, I get up to 56 percent when I get a new assessment but then go right back to 48% I dont understand why it is not allowing me to move forward when I understand the questions,

ALEKs is VERY strict as far as how they're wanting the answers entered. Make sure you're giving the software what it wants in terms of the way you answer the question.

I recently completed College Algebra on Aleks. I don't really get how you go from 56% to 48%...

Make sure when you are doing an assessment to not use the "I don't know" button too often, instead take as much time as you need to solve the problem and get your answer right the first time (google is your friend).

In learning mode, you need to get 3-4 correct answers in a row for that topic to be added to your pie, 1 mistake and you have to start again.

    ; )

I have completed 112 topics out of the pie which has 200 topics and when it gave me a new assesment it put me to 48% twice, even though I know that some of the equations I answered I felt really good with it but yes I have done the google and the youtube lessons I'm trying my best to stay positive but to be honest I just feel like giving up, Im even thinking about the college algebra clep even thougth it sounds crazy because Im using Aleks due to been able to learn at my own pace.

The thing that sucks is if you score 40% on the first assessment then you learn new topics, take another assessment it doesn't allow you to get a 100% or a higher %, it only allows you to slowly get 10% or so at a time.

ALEKS does not restrict your completion rate

ALEKS is VERY strick on correcting assesments if the question has 5 parts and you get 1 part wrong the whole thing is wrong. Check simple addition and subtraction this can make the whole answer wrong. There are only 25 questions in each assesment so 8 wrong and you do not get the required 70%. If you go to the master account after an assesment and click on the date of the assesment it will show the pie chart, then scroll down and you can see what you need to learn, if it is something that was on the assesment you got that one wrong
