I did about half of my undergrad degree via DL. The first course I ever took online was through U of Phoenix, which lasted five weeks and was too short for me to learn anything, it was also my last course with U of P. I transferred to Upper Iowa University and did eight-week courses that covered two or three chapters per week, which kept me very busy, but I was able to learn the material. I currently have been pursuing my MBA through Morehead State University which has 16 week semesters, I think, lol, but I find that this is really best for me especially at the graduate level. I find that I definitely learn the material with a more thorough understanding when learning in the 16-week format. After I return from Iraq I will be transferring to U of Hawaii and finish pursuing my MBA seated in class in the evenings. I have said this before, education is a personal experience, everyone learns differently and in their own time, be it 5 weeks or 16 weeks, and from various modalities, you have to go with the one that suits your learning styles, and your needs the best.

Where are you in Iraq? I was in the Green Zone from April 04 - April 05. I completed 4 courses with Capella while there.

I am currently at Schofield Barracks, we deploy late this summer. I will not be able to attend any classes this Spring due to training/TDY requirements. If I can do classes when I get there, I will stay with MSU and finish my MBA, otherwise I will finish when I get back. Last time I was in Iraq was during Desert Storm. As of now it looks as if I will not be around the Bagdad area, and in an area that has questionable support and infrastructure for continuing my education while over there.
