I am in my first course Database Management and very much enjoy the course. It has a nice balance of theory and hands-on experience. The assignments consist of 4 individual projects, a group project, and a proctored final exam. It is refreshing to not be writing APA and MLA papers as in my MBA program. Although, I am sure I will have some of that in other courses.

In IT, an MS/MBA combination would carry more weight than a D.B.A. Also, there are lots of really great online MS programs from highly recognized schools in the U.S. (like Carnegie-Mellon MSIT). There are less choices for doing a D.B.A. online.

Besides, someone in IT might mistake D.B.A. for Database Administrator instead of Doctor of Business Administration ;)
