I have been set to researching IAUS tonight because of a recent thread on Chadwick, and because this connects with my research interest on American World University and the World Association of Universities and Colleges.

Let's start with a priceless article from October 13, 2000, about IAUS member Barrington:
    http://southflorida.bcentral.com/southflorida/stories/2000/10/16/story2.html

The article discusses how the Switzerland address for IAUS is just an address for HQ Global Workplaces-the same firm that services Maxine Klein Asher's World Association of Universities and Colleges in Las Vegas. The South Dakota address discussed in the article also served Adam Smith University and Asher's American World University.

Interestingly, the IAUS Web site, Iaus-Accreditation.org, appears to be dead. The site's registration information can be seen here:
    http://www.betterwhois.com/bwhois.cgi?domain=iaus-accreditation.org

There is a current site here, but the names of the people are all different, so this may be a whole different gang of clowns:
    http://www.angelfire.com/ia/iaus/

IAUS is the accreditor for the nonwonderful Barrington "University," owned by the proprietor of IAUS. Kristin Everson Hirst discusses some IAUS history here:
    http://distancelearn.about.com/library/faq/blfaqbarrington.htm

The proprietor, Robert Berrington, of IAUS and Barrington also runs "Global Ministries University":
    http://www.globalministriesuniversity.org

The registration information for that Web site can be seen here:
    http://www.betterwhois.com/bwhois.cgi?domain=globalministriesuniversity.org

Cyberuniversity.edu apparently used to be the site for "Alston University," which claimed IAUS accreditation:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:n-n39ad0e3g:www.cyberuniversity.edu/ac.asp+%22international+association+of+universities+and+schools%22&hl=en

The archived page lists Alston University's address as "916 N. Hunter St., Stockton, California":
    http://web.archive.org/web/20001018164707/http://www.cyberuniversity.edu/

Interestingly, a google-archived page with an application to Alston is titled "Barrington University: Application." Someone didn't revise their Web page very well?:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:_ikjW5FNenE:www.cyberuniversity.edu/appl-ns.asp+%22916+n+hunter+st.%22+%2Bstockton&hl=en

Here's an archived page of IAUS member schools. Truly a parade of horribles. Adam Smith...Chadwick...Nobel...Barrington...Trinity:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:3FTRVpyy_Ac:www.iaus-accreditation.org/officers.html+%22916+n+hunter+st.%22+%2Bstockton&hl=en

Franklin T. Burroughs, proprietor of Nobel University and, with Maxine Klein Asher, of American World University and the World Association of Universities and Colleges, was at least once upon a time credited as the president of IAUS:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:SepN_04jkFc:www.iaus-accreditation.org/contactus.html+%2218,+avenue+louis+casai%22&hl=en

Well, I hope this compilation helps underline the various overlapping schemes of various degree-mill and accreditation-mill proprietors.

I know you make your comment for the sake of humor, but I think it is a conspiracy. These are individuals who conspire. Therefore, they are involved in a conspiracy. They are also schemers who scheme and have a scheme.

    Star,

Indeed a touch of humor, however, I agree with you. More than a few of these shady institutions are interconnected, promoting conspiracy to commit fraud.
