I need some help with putting together my academic resume. What should an academic resume for someone who teaches as an adjunct include?
Should I include in it my nonacademic experience, as well?

An academic resume (also referred to as a curriculum vita) is much more inclusive than a usual 1-2 business resume. Yes you will include non-academic experience, particularly if it is related to the courses that you wish to teach. A typical curriculum vita will include the following (the order may vary):

    • Education (degrees earned)
    • Licensures and Certifications
    • Academic Employment History (including courses taught)
    • Non-academic employment history
    • Awards and recognitions
    • Professional associations, service and activities
    • Volunteer/community service and activities
    • Grants authored
    • Publications
    • Presentations at conferences
    • Projects or other activities related to the academic discipline

    I hope that this helps
