About the starting hourly pay at the Amazon plant

    This is about the starting pay with first day benefits, at the Amazon plant 20min away.

    I would have thought it would be more for such a specialized field. I feel sorry for their students.

    Did you mean to say DeVry rather than Amazon???!

    I think his point is that DeVry's pay is comparable to that for unskilled labor.

    Note the ad says "online" and "visiting"...

    So not a tenure track, hell not even officially an adjunct. Also online, vs in person.

    In my mind you can do this from home, in your underwear, one evening a week and potentially reuse material you may have developed for another class at another college...

    Truly telling though, what value they put on your services.

    Still very surprised they don't pay by the credit . . I have seen adjunct pay as low as 500 per credit hour for graduate and doctoral level courses.

    Indeed. UofP pays $500 per credit. Eastern pays $10,000 for 7 accelerated sessions in a year which equals $477 a credit.
