Oh me oh my, how spooky. Is this intended to make minorities run and hide? What a ridiculous story. Any wackjob can run for office, no matter what race he is, and what race he hates. Most politicians are pieces of crap, at least these guys are outcoming with their dumbassery, so that we decent people can vote against them.

Being a "decent person" is not a required qualification for voting. Last I checked.

Maybe most voters are decent and will not deliberately vote to unnecessarily hurt other people. It think it is okay to loves your own race. It is another thing to annihilate another race. I live behind god’s back so when I meet the occasional black person I will do a shoutout or introduce myself. Am i racist for doing that? yes it may just be racist, because I am doing a special greetings base solely on race.

Depends on how we define the term 'white nationalist' I guess.

If we interpret it to mean American nationalists who happen to be Caucasian, it's probably true.

Nationalism is once again popular, after years of militant "post-nationalist" globalism. Nationalism's making a resurgence in Europe too. It never went out of style in China and places like that.

And if we interpret it as it was intended, it's something else entirely. But Humpty-Dumpty debating style is so much more fun.

Heirophant, that's an outstanding observation. Conversely, some people hate white people because they are... uhhh... white.

“OK, officially, I now hate white people. I am a white people [sic], for God’s sake, but can we keep them — us — us out of my neighborhood?”

That kind of thinking requires so much cognitive dissonance it's amazing the room he's in doesn't shake like in an X-Men movie.

Man, if there's any personal development I want to achieve it's the weeding out of any tendency to feel like I'm THAT far above the fray.

If you ever read me post that all people just like me, except not me, are worse than me, please remind me that I'm not that special.

I may get the hammer for this but I sort of understand white nationalism in Europe. I may not agree but it does not mean I can’t understand. White nationalism in the Americas is ridiculous? It is just as ridiculous as black nationalism say for example in St Vincent or Brazil. I can understand but not agree with black nationalism in Nigeria as an example, but it’ll be ridiculous for white nationalism in South Africa as an example. I think I understand why long-term (old-stock as per our former PM) citizens of a country seeing his/her country changing too fast. I may not agree with them but refusing to understand their issue may lead to bigger issues

Exactly what is it and why is it and what are their goals -- if you know?

    Nationalism or cultural retention?

Excellent question! I think cultural retention could be the source anxiety, not necessarily racism. Whatever it is, we who are non-white especially in Europe needs to pay some attention to it and not to totally dismiss it. The Americas, in my opinion, is a different kettle of fish is that is the right metaphor. In Ecuador, there is some indigenous nationalism. I may not support it but I may be sympathetic if it is done peacefully. Even in Northern Canada with the Inuit people, there is some small nationalism. Most people here are sympathetic, and many of the supporters are not-inuit.

Sorry, I don't but decimon mentioned losing one culture which is a big deal to me.

That's an interesting argument, though, since there's no reason minority groups can't retain culture distinct from the majorities that surround them.

Can the majority retain its culture? For instance, must FGM be accepted?

I see a difference between losing your culture on your indigenous land, and going to a foreign land and imposing your culture. It is interesting in the post-colonial era (if there is such a thing) that it is Europe that is worry about losing its culture. Thus my distinction between the new world and the old world.
