I'm looking for information on companies that offer services similar to those of the Institute for Professional Development, which is a higher education development and management corporation (its parent company is the infamous Apollo Group, also the parent company of the University of Phoenix). IPD partners with small colleges to develop degree programs for working adults. After the programs are up and running, it handles the accounting and recruitment functions for the school. My first thought was to find the Standard Industrial Classification code for that kind of company, then look in a business directory to find other companies in the same category. The SIC code for IPD is 8742, Management Consulting Services, but that designation is far too broad. I also tried searching various business directories by business category, but had no luck there.
