Now advertising in USA Today, Novus University. Netscape users may have trouble viewing this site. The domain registration shows an address for the school that is a postal box in Baton Rouge, LA, but there's no mention of location on the web site. Does membership in WAUC constitute a recognized accreditation track?
quite a list of degrees I wonder how these groups come up with names. Are they starting to watch old science fiction movies? The website has a great many subjects for degrees. Not a good sign for a school just starting out. The accreditation page also says that the are not in a position to receive federal funds. I wonder if they are operating legally in their state? all the best!
I recall some members in this forum stating that claiming WAUC accreditation is sufficient warning for one to run ... Opherus
I note that they claim to be a 'competency based post-secondary university'. Interesting, since, to my knowledge, competency standards do not exist at the Bachelor degree level, and certainly not at the Master or Doctoral level. Cheers, George
Try this Look at the site real close. Page by page. Then go to www.bienville.edu Either they are related or they have the same web designer.
Re: Try this If you look at the HTML code for Novus, there is a statement that it has been saved from Bienville. Opherus
recycling They must believe in recycling. I wonder if it saves electons to reuse web pages? LoL All the best!
I believe Western Governors University offers competency based programs. They are in candidacy for regional accreditation I believe. Tony
The Ph.D. is around $2000! The student has 12 months to complete the Ph.D. program, anything beyond that is an extra $100 per month.
