Somewhat related to our conversation about whether politicians should have a mandatory retirement age, Don Beyer (D-Northern Virginia), now 72, is taking one course at a time to slowly study for a Master's degree in AI through George Mason University.

    Impressive.
Usually people that are active and keep their brain active live longer.
Maybe the mind will be "downloaded" to some humanoid robot and the person will transition in to AI being.
Seriously, I applaud Rep Beyer for such undertaking.

And he is not cutting corners - In 2022, aged 72 and actively serving in the House of Representatives, Beyer began taking evening courses at George Mason University in pursuit of a master's degree in artificial intelligence. He is taking one course at a time, and must complete undergraduate prerequisite courses before starting the graduate work, which he expects to start by 2024
