University of Lynchburg's Doctor of Executive Leadership in Healthcare is 37 credits and can be completed in 12 months on the accelerated track, if you have a qualifying master's degree. https://www.lynchburg.edu/graduate/doctor-of-executive-leadership/
Strategic Leadership is listed as an outcome, but it is not taught explicitly as a course or courses. Because this is their fourth doctorate (proposed), it is undergoing pretty strict examination by SACS. If they're successful, the school will be able to add more doctoral degrees more swiftly. What would be considered the "dissertation experience" is just 8 s.h., and there are not any stand-alone research methods courses. I think there should be 3, plus the dissertation (either as one block or broken down). Color me meh.
It's just a shortened DHA program. My opinion is that colleges and universities should stick to established degree titles as much as possible.
Interestingly there is the note that "This program is not an entry-level doctoral program." It's also not a degree-completion program. So where does that put it?
They could have been more clear. I suspect they don't want to admit people without significant work experience in the field of study. I believe the reference to "entry level" is not an academic one, but a career one.
