Employers pay more for micro-credential holders
Our data shows that 90% of employers are willing to offer higher starting salaries to those with micro-credentials. Most offer 10–15% more for credit-bearing vs. non-credit credentials—even higher for GenAI. Help your graduates earn more by integrating micro-credentials into your programs.

I'm finding it somewhat hard to believe that any appreciable number of employers is actually making a distinction between credit and non-credit bearing certificates.

If I were placing bets on an educated guess my money would be that the distinction is being made between universities and other organizations that offer certificates. So, they might be willing to shell out a bit more for a specialized cert from Harvard Extension versus one from, say, a specific software vendor.
