Another thing one has to worry about is the placement rate into an APA-accredited internship. Programs with very low placement rates should be avoided, which further cuts down on the number of options. When it comes to the greater likelihood of being funded in a PhD program, I can totally understand why anyone would choose that over a PsyD. On average, PsyD programs are more expensive.
