It is the country code for Liberia, where SRU purports to be located. Before that, they claimed to be in the Commonwealth of Dominica, and before that...

    widening our horizons

What will one find looking at other non-RA, non-SA schools' faculty photos? I wonder if any of their heads are loose too.

So when a real university says you can work there forever, it's called granting tenure, but when St Regis says so, it's called giving h...

This is most likely unimportant but it just registered on my mind that real schools don't usually attach photographs (authentic or digitally retouched) to the name and vita qualifications of listed faculty. Is this because: a) the faculty do not exist b) the faculty are unattractive c) the faculty are shy and seek to avoid celebrity d) authentic faculty could be recognized by fake schools and kidnapped for photographic purposes.

Why doesn't St. Regis simply find stray pictutres of very intelligent looking, attractive individuals and simply say they are the professor in question? Who would know? They take pictures of random buildings from real schools to illustrate their "campus." Why go to such lengths to represent a faculty member who may well not exist? Why not post pictures of sports teams--say Oklahoma and LSU--suggesting that the school has a enviable football team? Why no pictures of Tiger Stadium?

    Why the fake heads?
    Why attached to fake bodies?
    Why the bad ties?

    Sinister.

  6. The heads have been... well "fixed"

Check out the SRU website faculty links. They've restored the original pictures, apparently. At least for most of the faculty. Now we are seeing passport stamps as background on some of these guys.

Where DO they get these people?? ;)

Easy. He straps himself to a cruise missle and flys from Texas to Virginia to attend meetings.

    ...via Saint Regis Airlines

Maybe he takes the Saint Regis jet ?

Here is a link to the (pdf) catalog of the "Worldwide Church of Bethel": http://www.wwcob.org/Files/2004%20Catalog.pdf.

The place seems like a family business. Take a look at the "Board of Directors" roster, which follows. Note the presence of Richard Novak, of Saint Regis fame, as "Deputy Registrar" and the M Div in couseling from Saint Regis for Manuel A. Otero III. (What s the name pf the family dog, I wonder?)

Music head has Almeda degrees too.

Since we're talking about heads of all sorts, the source of a number of faculty bodies (Professor Dr. Dennis Chandler, Official SRU Spokesman & Head of Music Department, Student/Career Mentor; Ph.D., DBA;) has more than just Saint Regis degrees under his belt: he's also the holder of numerous "Almeda College and University" diplomas.

    From his web page http://www.dennischandler.com/Useful_Links.html:
And who IS Dr. Thomas Carper anyway?

I'll guess that he's the guidance counselor for exciting processes at SRU.

Evidently, someone quite powerful at SRU. Somebody wrote: "the fact that SRU 'sells' professorships [...] looks very questionable. I implore SRU to remove it and offer it here on the Alumni board. [...] Dr. Carper, please consider removing it from the website." And it was done!

Azad's head just fell off, maybe

Saint Regis Professor Dr. Abul Kalaam Azad used to have a faculty portrait available on the SRU site; you can still see it here and here. It looks like the PhotoShop razor blade did a number on his ears.

But Dr. Azad's head is no longer visible on the SRU page showing his bio.

With things getting a little bumpy at SRU, maybe his head rolled right off the top of his neck!

huh.... the US acceptance link doesn't work on the SRU site. Maybe thats because no one in the US accepts SRU degree's?

    works for me

It seems to work now. The (now-working) US acceptance page has links to http://saintregis.edu.lr/important.htm.

Didja notice that the email link in "If you know of others, please let us know at FRAUD ALERT" goes to [email protected]?

Now that's not in Liberia! Recall this post.

We wouldn't want DegreeInfo to be mistaken for one of those...
would we? So I am happy to announce that the acceptance link appears to be working.
