Yes! Doubtless her subtle patriotism and legislative acumen will be missed by those less able than herself but consider:

    (Buckle your seat belt here)

At the cost of appearing like a complete and hopeless MAGA moron, MTG has ended the disabling extreme partisanship that plagued the House! Her motion to vacate the chair will be opposed by majorities of BOTH parties because these Members are remembering now that it is their job to govern! This will be a public vote from which course there will be no turning back.

Thank you MTG for your self-sacrifice!

Awful woman on many self serving levels. That voters thought she was the best they could do is remarkable.

But there is Tlaib and Ocasio- Cortez on the other side. I do give Ocasio-Cortez points for being darned cute.

Apparently MTG is a good competitive athlete (reading Wikipedia) and placed well worldwide in some CrossFit championship.

Too bad the development and exceptionalism didn't extend to her intellect. It is so bad (conspiracies and idiocy).

The Democrats came through in spades for Speaker Johnson. The House killed MTG's vanity motion to vacate 359 to 43. There's more than a whiff of bipartisanship in the air.

I'm starting to think Speaker Johnson might be an actual statesman. He enjoys very wide support in a closely divided and polarized House, he ignores the Freedom Caucus and Trump whenever he thinks that's the right thing to do, and he does things in a calm, no nonsense fashion.

I'm (gawd forbid!) starting to LIKE him.

So here's a question. Assume by some miracle the GOP hangs on to the House next year. Will Johnson still be Speaker? I love the idea of the Democrats forcing Johnson down the throats of the Freedom Caucus!

You mustn't forget that Mike Johnson is a pure blood MAGA. He was one of the leaders for the House insurrectionists. I do agree with the Democrats saving him. He kept the government funded and allowed Ukraine war supplies to be renewed. He took these moves in spite of the freedom caucus because unlike the rest of them he was actually responsible for governing rather than just chaos and political antics.

What I've heard the political pundits say about him is that Kevin McCarthy was much less trust worthy and was almost universally hated by Democratic Representatives.

    "Actually responsible for governing."

    Exactly.

Oh, I gather MTG is warning Speaker Johnson that if he doesn't shape up, she'll try again.

    Yawn.
