If the students paid attention to the sister site, they would get their degrees by paying little or nothing at all.

This is great for many! However, not ideal for everyone.

People should pay attention where, and as they wish. Not everyone's after super-cheap - especially if it's a one-size-fits-all. For some, price is the ONLY criterion - and I find those people obnoxious. I've been on there about as long as I've been here - but with about 2% of the number of posts I've made here. It just doesn't interest me like DI. A while ago, I read that forum for a while then I went to bed and dreamt about being at a sale in a Walmart in Texas, I think. Somewhere I've never been, in the Southern US, anyway.. Big giant boxes of CREDITS - 3 boxes for $8! Everybody was grabbing and one guy said "Well, he-he-he, LOL folks - let's grab 'em ALL before them pesky locals see 'em, so they cain't git ANY." It was an AWFUL dream!

And some of those Universities they discuss over there ... Wow! Like that one that's accredited in Gambia, run by an extremist, banned from about 18 countries and named as a co-conspirator in a major bombing.... Yikes, there's no prudence or discriminatory powers in evidence at all, sometimes. The big attraction -- it was FREE.

Everybody's free to go anywhere. So go anywhere they've got what you WANT. Right here is good enough for me. But you do you.

Even for those not, for whatever reason, willing or able to collect alt-credit into a Big Three degree, there's still no reason to pay full freight when one can still earn a Bachelor's degree through Southern Utah University for a grand total of nine thousand bucks start to finish.

True - and we learned that right here. :) But, if you need a Bachelor's in, say, Classical Roman Literature, you might have to look further. One size can fit a majority, but not all. And a bachelor's for $9K all-in? That's a super deal. Works out to $75 a credit!
