Is anyone aware of online adjunct opportunities with institutions based in Canada?

Thanks but I am on the West side of Canada... won't work.

Some of the US schools take issue with "out of country" remote and my "foreign" credentials... oi vey.

If you stumble on anything 100% remove or near Victoria BC, let me know...

    My search continues...

I assume you've checked Athabasca for your discipline? Their adjuncts are 100% remote, there is no in-person teaching.

I had professors from across Canada when I was enrolled there. They note credentials must be recognized in Canada but don't have to be earned there.

There are not many private universities in Canada. There are many online courses but given at traditional universities and colleges. Yorkville is perhaps one of the few online private universities available in Canada but salaries are low and work conditions are not so good. Most Universities and colleges in Canada have unions and better work conditions but are not so easy to get in unless you are local to the school.
As Canadian, you can have access to US work opportunities but the online adjunct market is a bit saturated nowadays with so many people with doctorates. My suggestion would be to start with a local university or college and take it from there. There are also many opportunities to develop your own courses at places like udemy.

Athabasca has a union so normally they would prefer local candidates. You have the management school that hires international faculty but they offer something that is called coach that is really a teaching assistant with a doctorate as you are just grading assignments for a professor that manages the class.

I am curious if there any adjunct position that does not require work visa?

For foreign credentials, just get a WES evaluation for the US and this will work. You can get easily work in the US if you can teach IT, Finance, Accounting or any in demand field. Salaries for these fields are very high in the market so there is always a shortage of adjuncts in these fields. Try places like Walden, Devry, Capella, etc. Adjunct salaries are low but with the conversion rate not so bad in Canada.

Many for profits do not require visa. Yorkville, Athabasca business school and others. For profits normally look for the best at the lowest cost so they will not restrict themselves to local people.

https://www.tru.ca/careers/faculty.html (single course "Open Learning positions", if you're based in British Columbia).

There aren't many opportunities for web-based university teaching in Canada.

You can grab that opportunity as a PhD holder, but so can Tony, the high school dropout.

Dang that Tony! Had him at Udemy 3 times so far. Nuclear physics, Fashion drawing, Intro to Mongolian. Awful instructor!

Yes, but so many PhDs nowadays. With so many PhDs holders, people are teaching for free or for 1000 bucks per course. I see PhDs in real estate, insurance, tutoring, etc and all of these do not require a PhD either so udemy might be just another option. There are quite PhD holders in udemy, the advantage is that you dont need a NACES certificate to teach there so propio or unaccredited will do.
