    ”a quickie degree”

More. There’s a petition against her.

“To even meet the requirements for the position, she is enrolled at Bob Jones University and is somehow earning a 33-hour Master’s degree in approximately 6 months, all while campaigning.”

I wondered if she had previously completed coursework elsewhere and transferred credits to BJU. In any event, the editorial sure does come across as a hit piece. I finished an MA program in six months at a university but only owing to the fact that it had a significant research requirement.

It's possible if she had transfer credits.

The late Lord Banside, Rev. Dr. Ian Paisley, Former First Minister of Northern Ireland also received his honorary doctorate from Bob Jones University. I do wonder if our heroine here is anymore inclusive in her thoughts and actions than the typical Paisleyite or Bob Jonesian.

I just happened across this piece

The Amazing Catholic Art at Anti-Catholic Bob Jones University

Old joke we would tell when I was younger:
Did ye know Ian Paisley converted to Catholicism before he died?

    Really?

Aye, He thought it was better if the Lord took one of theirs.

Well, the good brother Paisley was a Presbyterian. At least BJU had broadened its ecumenical scope that far. I doubt very much, however, that the administration or faculty of BJU would communicate as Bob Jones Jr. did regarding the RCC.

It took me one academic year to complete a 33-hour Master’s degree, that was taking 3 courses per semester for 3 semesters, and 2 courses in the connecting summer. It was a pace I don’t ever want to do again.

6 months does seem somewhat suspect, at least on the surface.
