UofM . . . . . Televangelists . . . . . What is the difference when it comes to For-Profit or Non-Profit ?
Football. But seriously, how much have Swaggart, Bakker, et al. put into cancer research or major universities? [Notice that I didn't mention Falwell (Sr.) or Robertson, who put millions into what have become major universities. In both cases, they established ABA-approved law schools. In Falwell's case, a medical school.] But as for the difference between for-profit and non-profit, the answer is still football. Of course, to every rule is an exception. I'm sure that industrious trivia freaks can find traditional residential programs that have football teams and are for-profit, but they won't come nearly as close in religious devotion as the Wolverines, Nittany Lions, or Buckeyes.
Very true Steve. Seems like we just spent a bunch of money to the put a few more rings of seats at the Stadium (they have to keep up the Largest Stadium record); and then paying off head coaches contracts . . . . Rich Rod's firing, Brady Hoke's firing and then money to hire and pay for Jim Harbaugh. Yikes . . . . paying for coaches is expensive.
