    Dear all,
first of all, thanks for all information provided on this platform.
I am in my late thirties, working several years in a management position in banking. I have a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Germany and would like to do a DBA. As i live in Latin America, I thought about doing it in the US as a Doctoral degree from North America is very helpful in LA.
As I am not from the US, I don't know anything about the educational system, for-profit vs. non-profit, college/univerity, credit hours etc.
    I am looking for:
A DBA in 3 years or less. Mai interests: HR, Governance, Compliance, AML and Management theory.
An online course with max 4 residencies per year. I want to continue working.
The best university that I can find. By best I mean: Excellent teachers and support. Doctoral title should be recognized in LA and Europe. The univerity should have an excellent reputation. If there were an online DBA from Harvard or Stanford, I would go for it. Fees are not too much of an issue, I saved quite some money and my employer is likely to support.
I found quite some offers, like Southern California, Temple or Drexler, but am really no sure about there reputation on an international level.

Every help or recommendation, link or opinión will be very much appreciated.
    Best,

    Michel

    Hi,
thank you for your replies. I somehow excluded the UK because first of all a US degree would help me more in LA. In addition I know EU education but nor US. And last (and least) I am still angry because of the Brexit and don't want to spend my money there:)
Paris could be an option though. However, if it is not 100% online, I would also prefer the US because it is more or less the same time zone.
    Best,
    Michel

I never have gotten the passion over the Brits not wanting to be part of the EU. I don't get the anger. Who cares if the Brits don't wish to be part of a consortium of countries trying to move towards a common currency (which the Brits were never on board with anyway) and common economic regulations, antitrust laws, etc.? I swear, people act like Il Duce Mussolini has taken over Great Britain. Frankly, given the puerile behavior of certain countries within the EU, it's hard for me to blame the Brits. Call me crazy, I thought if a country wanted to assert their autonomy, they by gosh ought to have a right to do it. Anyway, please help me understand the rage that would compel you to rule out arguably the best DL biz doctorate options in the world from universities where probably 80% of the faculties were very much against Brexit. Do. Not. Get. It.

I agree. Do the same people avoid Switzerland and Norway?

    Hey guys,
as you can see I put a smileay behind the reason and qualified it as the least important, so please take that into account. I also did not intend to start a Brexit debate. Resentment is never a good emotional state to make decisions. However, as you are asking: Case of Switzerland and Norway do not apply as they do not withdraw from the idea of the EU. Still I believe that the idea to focus on our similarities and cooperation, on interchange and opening borders is the right diretion and have a hard time understanding the rejection of this idea. Yes it might be profit driven, yes it might bring changes you don't appreciate in your life, but what is in question is where we are going in general. As you know there are more and more signs towards a "hard" Brexit, UBS today confirmed that they will move to Frankfurt Germany ad have given up on the idea that there wil be an agreed and organised Brexit, which also leaves the future of studying in England uncertain. This is a unique case in history and none really knows what wil happen, even if it is hard to imagine that political reasoning can overcome the economic interest in the UK markets.
As I stated, my reasons for searching a DBA in the US are others, Brexit was a coment aside, it is interesting it raises interest and confirms that Brexit is an emotional and hot topic. Thank you for your replies.
I checked also the National Center for Educational statistics where you can search colleges. What came out on their website is: Northcentral University San Diego, Pennsylvania State-World Campus, University of Florida. Still, Drexel and Temle are on the list, they are also recognized by Germany. If you have any information or comments regarding these schools, please let me know.
    Best,
    Michel

Closest fit in US will be the University of Florida DBA https://warrington.ufl.edu/doctor-of-business-administration/. It requires a 2 week residency at the beginning and then 6 weekends a year. See Class of 2012 schedule https://warrington.ufl.edu/doctor-of-business-administration/wp-content/uploads/sites/87/2018/02/schedule-dba.pdf.

A well respected US DBA would require AACSB accreditation. There are several US options that are not AACSB accredited, however, I have not looked into those options.
