what is the best or worst seminary to attend?

Many posters from different denominations have found success studying at schools in South Africa. I am a graduate of liberty, the customer service was/is excellent. However, it does has a for-profit feel to it, so I may not recommend it for that reason.

 

Obtain a legitimate bachelor's and M.Div, then you can pursue a D.Min. Before this endeavor, however, obtain a tiny shred of integrity, stop being an unchristian troll, and stop bearing false witness against others--in short, act a little like Jesus. I think you have a long, steep hill to climb yet.

 

Why would you can yourself a false teacher even if you are trying to be provocative? It is evident from your many posts that you are religious, so why not just be nice about? If you are not religious, then this whole exercise is just a waste of time by you. DIers will engage you, that is what we love doing. As far as I know, there is no conspiracy to promote any agenda. I usually agree or disagree with whatever I want. You can do the same. There is some banter back and forth, but that is just boring people like us having fun. The demographic on DI is a bit older than its sister's site, so you may find that place more to your liking, many do. I do not want to bore you, but there are some great people here. I have never met any, but as your bible said, you should know them by their work.

 

The Bachelor of Divinity (in the United States) was a first professional graduate degree that has been supplanted by the Master of Divinity, much like the LL.B. was replaced by the J.D. at American law schools.

 

Why don't you read this recent newspaper article about a teacher who went to prison for using a fake degree, and visualize your name in that story. How would that feel?

I never said you didn't have one. I implied you didn't have a legitimate one. Based on your demeanor, grasp of the English language, and odd behavior, I sincerely doubt you have a genuine, accredited degree from any institution. I also wonder, based on your false and fatuous allegations against Dr. Bear (in which you couldn't even get the most basic facts straight and managed to turn matters exactly on their head), if you are capable at this point in your life of either academic research or Christian behavior. For someone who claims to want genuine help, you are going about it in one of the most bizarre ways I've ever seen on a forum. Your nom de plume, just for starters, is idiotic if you wish to be taken seriously as either a scholar or Christian. Just my take.

You have to be better than this. Otherwise, you are just a despicable human being, which I don't think you are. You are still smarting from this Andersonville Sh!t. It is very easy to cheapshot members who have provided their real names. You and I have decided not to provide our real names because we don't need the scrutiny. But you don't have to be a bully about it. Andersonville may eventually become an accredited institution, and we all will be recommending it. In the meantime, you won't make Andersonville a better institution by demeaning yourself and others. I am genuinely enjoying being morally superior to you and at this moment, so let us change that. Because, in your teaching, there is no morality without God, so you should be the one taking the high road. Maybe after having the lords supper today you should be a better person.

You are excellent evidence that the mill(s) you attended provided you no education whatsoever. No allegations against Dr. Bear, who earned excellent academic credentials, are going to make your fake credentials real. You are an academic fraud, your behavior and grammar betray you.

You are also providing us evidence that you are a phony with regard to your purported faith, as you act nothing like a bona fide believer in Jesus. You act exactly like some of the pastors with whom I have unfortunately had association, the sort who have a fake faith which matches their fake educations. You are exactly the sort who drove me away from organized churches--to preserve my faith in Jesus, I had to run from the phonies, such as by all indications you seem to be.

I think you should stay. You did asked some interesting questions. You will find that there are many people here who share your views. I am not aware of any hidden agenda by DI. I was like you, a bit sensitive at first. I have embraced all the DI characters and it is actually fun. A side benefit, I have been able to take this new attitude into my personal life.

 

I hope you mean you've taken that less sensitive attitude into personal life rather than (shudder) a DI attitude! The reason we have this attitude is because we're tiresome, boorish, inveterate curmudgeons. Not exactly something you wish to catch. : )
