I have completed three course towards my MS in Project Management at Brandeis. I transferred to Purdue to complete my degree because they offer five eight-week terms per year so I should be able to complete my degree sooner at Purdue compared to Brandeis. The MS in Project Management program at Purdue started in August, 2011. I have just completed my first week at Purdue. Brandeis Pro's Mature Program Adjunct Instructors with real-world experience Practical assignments for the most part Instructors are pretty responsive to answering questions 7 out of 10 Brandeis Con's Only three 10-week terms per year (takes three years and one semester taking one class at a time) Some of the classes have too many discussion questions in my opinion along with too many responses. Cannot chat with fellow students or email them. Why? Don't know. Purdue Pro's Five 8-week terms per year One discussion question with two responses required Purdue name I like certain aspects of the Blackboard, can chat with fellow students and send them emails. Purdue Con's Instructors appear to be tenured professors with teaching assistants. One of my instructors this semester is decent, other other not so decent. The bad professor has 4 pages out of 4 pages of negative comments on Ratemyprofessor.com. I read through them and in my opinion, 95% are legit. Instructors post assignments late which gives me less time to perform my assignment (Example Week 2 starts today. He did not post our new assignments last night. Today is MLK day. I seriously doubt that he will not post the assignments until tomorrow afternoon. I do not know if there is anything I can do about it. Anyways, if this semester does not work out like I hope, I will suck it up complete the courses and go back to Brandeis to finish. However, I hope Purdue works out and they get their act together. I am really surprised by your post. I would think that such a prestigious university as Purdue would do a better job with their online classes. I'm sorry for your poor experience that sounds more like something that should happen at NCU. (the poster child for poor service)
I'm halfway through my last week for my first semester attending Purdue. It's been an eye-opener. I'm taking a one hour Professional Research Communications class. I completed my final paper yesterday. I have not received grades for any of my completed assignments yet. For my Quality class the instructor finally graded about half of the assignments within the last week. I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed with the program so far. I do not know exactly what a Professional Studies program is suppose to entail. Purdue needs to get their act together.
You should take a look at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's MSPM program: Master of Science in Project Management | UW-Platteville Distance Education
Faero13 - You read my mind. Earlier today I did send Bill Haskins at UW-Platteville an email asking him about transfer credit. I'm about out of options. I need to complete 22 more credits to receive my degree from Purdue.

major56 - I've researched most of the schools listed already. Most or all will not award me full transfer credit or the classes I've already taken. If I could have a do over I would have selected Northeastern University. NU was my second choice. They are on the quarter hour system and each course is six weeks long. They will only accept two classes for transfer, which is the equivalent of 4 semester hours. I've completed 13 hours. Drexel may accept up to 15 quarter hours which is the equivalent of 10 semester hours. This is another possible option for me, but what I do not like about Drexel is that they charge $1,000 per quarter hour, which is a ripoff in my opinion. I emailed my syllabi to UW-Platteville today and was told I that I could be awarded as much as 15 semester hours of credit. I would need 21 hours to finish their program. I need 22 to finish Purdue's program. I would need 21 hours to complete the Brandeis program. If I would have stayed at Brandeis, I would have to complete 18 more hours. I just may have to suck it up and finish at Purdue. All the instructors can't be bad.

Purdue Unviersity - MS IT Project Management I haven't posted anything in a long time so I thought I will give all of you a status update. I'm still attending Purdue University. The class I'm currently taking ends on December 14th. I have a break from December 14th until March 10th. On March 10th I take my final class. This was an interesting program. It was a little more technical than I expected. The degree that I will be obtain is a MS in Technology with a specialization in IT Project Management. I'm glad I stuck with the program even though it is still experiencing some growing pains. If I were to categorized the program into three categories they would be: Project Management - 33% Leadership - 33% Business Analysis - 33% I expected learning about project management and leadership. However, I did not expect to learn as much as I have about business analysis. David
