lawrence, I'm down in Mobile and am currently applying to West Alabama to finish my undergrad. I received my AAS from Remington College and they are NA accredited so it's been difficult to find an RA school that would accept my credits. UWA has a BS in Technology degree and they are accepting all of my credits, not sure what you want to major in but it might be worth checking out. That said, Troy is an excellent school.

    Not Again!

I actually applied to UWA in 2007 and passed on them because of the cost and number of credits I needed. I felt I could find a better option at a cheaper price. My sister graduates on Dec 11th from UWA with a master in education.

I'm really started to like UNA a lot. The price is great and I can get everything I need from them online. I also like the flexibility of their BIS program (option 2). This looks program looks like a perfect fit for me. :banghead:

I've been in the same boat. I was in the enrollment process with Union Institute & University (UI&U) when I began to consider Colorado State University (CSU). CSU was cheaper than UI&U and they both had the program I was after. After I toured the Sacramento campus at UI&U, I was very impressed and decided my initial choice was the right one.

I think the advise regarding flip-flopping will only slow you down. I had a friend of mine who did that, three colleges in a year, and now he is now running behind.

My problem is not choosing a school and starting and then changing, its picking one PERIOD! and a degree for that matter! I think once I decided I will stick with whatever program i choose unless I am to the point where I want to poke my eyes out with a fork :)

I'm back at it again because Troy is super slow. I swear their customer service is the worst. Maybe they have more students than they can handle. It's been 6-weeks and I'm tired of waiting on them to send me a credit evaluation so I'm looking at other options.

UNA is looking more and more like the best option for me. I actually talked to the guy over the BIS program today and it went well. I think I finally found a state (Alabama) school that understands what I'm looking for and offer a program that's both affordable and flexible. I can also transfer up to 30-hrs of technical credits in as block credits. If all goes well with my unofficial evaluation I'm going with UNA until I'm finish.

It actually does not matter what school your degree is from. Hundreds of thousands of people get their degrees from regional state universities and have incredibly successful careers. What matters in the finished part. Get the one you can afford. Get done. Move on, forget the name!!!!!!!! It really is about what you do with it. My dad had three degrees from FHSU and had a wonderful career and made good money. Unless you are going to try to get one of the top 1% of the elite financial jobs it just doesn't matter. Even then you might be suprised. Remember Ronald Reagan had a degree from Eureka College! Dr. Phil has his doc from the University of North Texas. He seems to make a living.

You are so right. I don't plan on attending some big name grad school when I'm finish so it really doesn't matter. I'm seriously thinking about staying put at FHSU. I've had zero problems with them during my 5 semesters there. I guess I could always take a class at any big name school I want in the future for the hell of it.

I know exactly what you mean! I was applying to Troy around 2007 and the lady I dealt with acted like she could care less about anything. She was very rude and impersonal, could never answer any of my questions and email responses took forever. I finally just gave up. You would think a school of Troy's size could hire some friendly and intelligent people to handle their admissions but I guess that is asking for too much.

My advisor tells me something different every time I contact her. I'm glad I registered for a few classes at FHSU to be safe.

I decided to give Liberty a shot and haven't looked back. I crushed my first 8-week class (marketing) and decided to try 6-hrs for the last 8-weeks of spring. All is going well so far. Management and Christian worldviews keeping me busy and away from this board.

My plan is to finish by May 2012.

I'm sure you haven't thought to yourself, "where is that lawrenceq guy?" I don’t post a lot anyway.

And since I’ve won my battle with analysis paralysis, I really don’t need degreeinfo. I'm focused on completing my BS, but after that, I'll be back looking for cert programs related to web design and internet marketing.

It is one thing at a time for me. I'm here if MC needs help getting over the hump.
