Kristin: This is a great piece you've written! I'm wondering if, in your experience, have you seen any meaningful criteria folks use to evaluate a currently unaccredited school? While I agree accreditation is becoming increasingly important, I know some schools are not accredited (schools that are perfectly legitimate and have a nice legacy of educating students) because this is a voluntary process in the US. I'm very interested in your thoughts. . . RHanson
Thanks for sharing this post. It gives exact details of what students should check before selecting a Distance learning program. Most students ignore the 'student service' part and then later realise that the course pattern doesn't suit them, or there isn't enough study material available. They also do not know where to go in case they have some doubts in their studies. These small things matter a lot once you get into the course and its rightly pointed by you as an important aspect to pay attention to before choosing a DLP.
