In the USA it is the state government, not the federal government that controls teaching licensure. I say this in order to emphasize that each state might have somewhat different laws regarding equivalency of teaching certificates. It's just plain hard to say how your cert might be viewed by the state licensing board. Having said that, where I live you don't need any kind of teaching certification in order to teach in a private school. I know someone who was/is a lawyer and she taught in a private school for a few years while she was building up her law practice. So, your teaching cert from Israel might actually buy you some good cred in a private Jewish school. As far as college credits go, you'd probably have to go through one of those foreign credential evaluation services to get a definitive answer. I'm guessing that you'd get at least a hundful of credits from it.

I'd have to agree with Kizmet, as much as I hate to admit it. I would say, however, that while you and I may agree that a program with good exams and material may not be a "mill," others looking at your job applications may not share the same view.
