Does anybody know of a distance learning undergrad school that is friendly to incarcerated individuals? The son of one of my ex-girlfriends is in trouble with the law and I want him to be able to do college if he has to do time and then maybe he'll have a unique law school admissions essay when he gets out. Anybody know of financial aid sources for incarcerated distance learning students?

I thought John Bear did a post recently about this...Tedmeister King of Searches didn't find it? Hmmm maybe I'll look later.

    Edit: Here it is... http://www.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?t=31195&highlight=prison

Oh, Dr. Bear has a whole chapter on that in Bear's Guide. That's right! Also, I had a good idea that Hille had asked about/made a thread about DL for prisoners. Anything about financial aid?

    Tedmeister Needs More Help

Tedmeister sometimes needs help remembering things too. I was just in hospital for nine days and came back to a huge backlog of degreeinfo threads. Perhaps people can remind me of things I've promised to post on: MBA threads (which specific majors?), $250/hr. MBAs, $30,000 MBAs, what else (perhaps you could include thread info)?

Some prisons offer college programs. At the prison in Pendleton, IN (maximum security) Ball State University offers a bachelors degree program. For some odd reason we get of bunch of the graduates taking classes at the community college where I work.
