Columbia's acceptance of transfer credit is generous:
"CSU allows maximum transfer credit for your prior academic credits, training, and relevant professional licenses and certifications. Up to 75 percent of undergraduate courses and 50 percent of graduate courses can be transferred into your degree program. Students are allowed to transfer in 15 percent of coursework into the DBA program."

You might want to look at Ashford University too. I'm currently going for my Master in Org. Mgt. and it's pretty accelerated. It's has a decent rep. too. Courses are 6 weeks at a time, and I think you can complete it in 15 months. However, I could swing 2 classes at a time and probably finish in 12 months. The only rule for taking 2 classes is you have to wait until you complete 3 classes first (and a 3.0 avg.).

    http://www.ashford.edu/online/degrees/mbadetails.php

    Graduation Requirements
33 total semester credits (36 credits if you do not have transferable undergraduate coursework in Economics, Finance and Accounting that meets Ashford University's criteria.)

    Online format
You'll take your classes one at a time for 6 weeks each accelerating your path to completion. Complete your weekly course assignments when and where it's convenient for you thanks to the asynchronous online environment. You'll appreciate that the class content is delivered in a high-tech format.

    Cost*
Your tuition is $490 per credit. You'll appreciate that Ashford offers one of the lowest tuition rates available online. You will also be responsible for fees to enroll. Call today to learn more at 866-711-1700.

SIU looks like it's RA and has a BM school. I don't think you could go wrong with it, but there might be some better schools for the price.

I would check out Ashford, Grand Canyon University, and South University if you want a For-Profit University offering accelerated. I also heard Marylhurst University has an 18-month accelerated program that is RA & is Non-Profit.

During the time I was doing marketing for the Edinburgh Business School MBA (1991-99), we had a man come into our California office on March 31, the last day to sign up for June exams. He bought all nine courses, and signed up for all nine exams. In the first week in June, he took and passed all nine exams over a 5-day period. That's a world-class Royal Chartered MBA in 70 days. Of course that's a rare event, but clearly not an impossible one. The man was a fortyish VP of a Fortune 100 company, with 20 years of business experience . . . and he loved studying for and taking exams.

At that time, do you remember more or less how much each test was? Good for him! That is incredible.

Abner: At that time, do you remember more or less how much each test was?

John: One bought the courses for about $700 each, which included the right to take the exam . . . twice if necessary.

Another thing: the program gave (and still, I think gives) course waivers for various credentials, such as the CPA. CPAs did not have to take accounting or statistics, meaning 7 courses were required . . . and there were CPAs (not too many) who took and passed all seven exams.

What assumptions do you wish to make about how many classes you can complete in an academic term?

By That I mean: The least amount of classes required and the shortest amount of time required.
It has to be accredited either RA or DETC.
It'll be nice if we could compile a list.
    Thank you all!!

Have you looked at the 36 unit AMU/APU MBA?
    http://www.amu.apus.edu/Academics/Degree-Programs/plan.htm?progid=4463&concid=4332
I believe courses are 8 weeks but maybe you could stagger courses by 4 weeks. Tuition is $275 per unit.

I am on my sixth course with AMU and absolutely love it. Great support, excellent professors, interesting mix of courses, pretty good price. Some people might be scared of the school since it has "military" in the title, but since I work as a Technician for the Air National Guard it suits me perfectly. Overall good school, I do recommend them.

I have taken online courses from the following schools and would rate AMU at the top:

    Washington State University
    Thomas Edison State College
    Amberton University
    Webster University.

    Just FYI.

    Hello
    Thank you for the info.
The price is right however, it seems like there are midterms and finals for each course as well as a final comprehensive exam before graduation.
I really prefer the project / Assignment format.
I am an executive for a large company, I am in endless meetings, travels, projects etc..plus a wife and 4 kids.
I Reallly don't feel like putting myself through additional pressure of studying for exams and additional deadlines.
I much rather work on assignments and projects which gives me more freedom as far as time and stress management .

The MAOM program at Ashford is all assignment and discussion based. I don't believe I have to complete a capstone. If you pick SIU I would love to hear about your experiences. I’ve been thinking of going for my MBA after my current program, and SIU was on the list.

I am about to enroll in the Ashford MBA it is more affordable than Salem International University.
saabsrule can you please let me know how many assignements / reports I should expect per class.
Is it fairly easy to maintain a 3.0+ taking one class at a time.
Any information regarding how the classes are structured, the amount time required to study for each class, professor support etc... will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you much

Can anyone tell me about the amount of research/writing that's involved with the grad courses at Ashford University and Amberton University? Are the courses very difficult?

Cal State Dominguez Hills can be done in about 15 months. (approximately $14k from memory)

Bellevue University can be done in 18 months and requires no prerequisite course work. (Approximately $12,500 from memory)

Liberty University, I believe, can be done in 18 months. (Approximately $15k from memory)

American Military University can be done in 12 months if you can do 2 courses at a time, otherwise it is a 24 month stint. (Under $10k from memory)

    All are regionally accredited.
