That's cool! The CAGS is a great option for lots of people. It's faster, less expensive, but it still says "I know something special". It counts in the real world.

    Hi,

This question is for Vinipink. You said that you were getting a 40% tuition discount from NCU and that your classes were only $855 each. How did you manage this? I would love to have that discount too!!!

You have to fall in one of the categories they have such as Law enforcement(LEO), work for a government agency, military etc.... Once they verified your employment you get the special rate. I was able to lock in $855 because I was able to paid in full (and that is how I got the $855 per class with the LEO 40%). Now the LEO rate is $945 per class (still a good deal) due to the recent increases in tuition of NCU to fix their "financial disequilibrium" (Gardner, 2008) they were or are experimenting and you lock in the rate for three years. The thing here is ask and ask questions.

    Hope this has help.

Ok one more question. What do they ask you as proof? I work in the IT division for a local law enforcement agency.

A letter from you agency should be enough and or some other records(pay stub) that can show your employment with that agency.

    Hope this help.

NCU did a comparison page: http://www.ncu.edu/why_ncu/compare_doctoral_costs.aspx

Vinipink this is what I mean, YOU HAVE TO DO THE RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF...Don't depend on someone else. Your source is bias, because you go to that university.

Why don't you go to each site and add the link for others to compare.

I am not giving this for anyone to take advice on it, how it is different from what you posted? Now, how you determine it was bias?, I can make the same assumption you did, that is not the point. Fact is that NCU is cheaper than Argosy and the rest you listed. To that extend the point will be that Argosy is expensive and you don't need to do much research on that or be bias about it.
