As I stated a long time ago on DegreeBoard - it only costs $200 to file a suit in federal court, and I wouldn't be surprised if LaMarca filed a bunch of pro se motions.

If he's that stupid, it's just going to be further evidence he's not disabled and also give credence to the countersuit.
