Thanks for the advice. What is the USPTO exam and where do I find more information about it?
I am NOT planning on opening my own practice. I would only use a law degree to work for someone else. I make more money now than I would with a JD. I am doing it because of a genuine interest and self-preservation.

    Okay, here I go...

I interviewed again with Concord late this afternoon. I was going to finish with my second USQ degree first, but since they cancelled that degree, I am again dreaming of law school.

I am taking the online test tonight. Probably in the next hour. We'll see how it goes. If I pass this test, then I am accepted.

    From my test completion window:

"Your Application Has Been Submitted. Thank you for submitting an application to Concord University School of Law. Your Application Counselor will be in touch with you shortly to review your Admission Test Results."

I now have all weekend and then some to learn if I passed or not.

The test was very tricky. Without going into detail, the test asked many practical questions based on the provided theoretical reading material. For as many times as I read this material, I was still surprised by many of the questions.

I will learn on Tuesday morning if I passed or not. If I did, I will start in April 2003 (by choice) and 85% of my tuition will be paid by my employer.

As far as my HOA is concerned, they have four years to get their act together. After that they will become very familiar with the stone age, as that is how far I will sue them back to on a regular basis.

  5. Hello Christian. I gather that USQ cancelled the Bachelor's in Business Administration program that you were pursuing? Can you tell us more?

    Hey Gert,

Yes, they cancelled the BBA degree at USQ. The reason they state was low enrollment. However, after being taken off the program, it has since continued to be advertised as accepting applications.

Curiously, I received an email from a professor last week conducting research to learn why so many USQ students are dropping out - at an "alarming rate" according to them. I had to disappoint him by telling him I didn't drop out, but that I had graduated, and was attempting to start my second award when it was cancelled.

I should learn sometime today, possibly tomorrow morning, if I passed the Concord entrance test. During the interview I was told Concord now awards a Bachelor of Science in Law degree after two years in their J.D. program to make us more competitive with other law schools who require some sort of Bachelor's degree as an entrance requirement. I guess this is where I will pick up my elusive Bachelor's degree should I be accepted.

Oh, and I finally did receive my replacement award from USQ since they mispelled my name on the first one; they did as well on the second. Grrr!

I received the call today - I am accepted. Scored 13/15 on the entrance exam, completed the application forms, paid my tuition, and am waiting for my class to start next year.
