Does anyone have any experience using Moodle, the free, open source course management system? I'm a big fan of open source software and this looks like it might be a great alternative Blackboard and others... http://moodle.org/
In the last year, our institution has moved from using eCollege to using Moodle exclusively. We are having good success with it.

Mycollegeclass.com My Moodlesite I've had extensive usage of Moodle. Im an adjunct at Central Texas College in Japan. To make my life easier I invested some time in finding a good portal system for my students. I created 2 complete courses, one Microsoft and the other an "Intro To Computers". It helped that I'm a computer geek also...lol, it wasnt to difficult but a challenge at times. There are some bugs that the latest patch hasnt fixed but its a good package overall. Many of the web hosting companies have a preinstalled script that makes it simple. Try out 3xi. Its dirt cheap for hosting. Vonnell
