Thanks for all your hard work. Everything I tried worked perfectly. DegreeInfo 2.0 would seem to be a complete success.

    My two favorite new commands:

    1. View new posts (available from main forums screen)

    and

    2. Go to next unread post

It makes life on here so much easier (and quicker).

Oh, so true! I use these two features too! :D

Be advised: You only have 7 minutes to edit your post, once you've posted it!!! T minus 7 and counting......

You're a new father, John, and the little one must be fed quite often. You don't get as long as everyone else. :D

Congratulations from 50 miles Northwest of the Wetsch residence.

    Thanks, all!!

    Hey, folks...

Thanks much for the kudos... but, to be fair, Bill Gossett worked just as hard as I did in making this happen. We were both up just about all night (the goal was to try to get the upgrade completed during our lowest traffic time), and frantically instant messaging across 2000 miles while both working on the same things at the same time... but it all worked out.

You'll notice some oddities for a while yet as the admins get familiar with the new features and as we tweak some of the functions. (For example, as John W. noticed, we've upped the edit window from 5 to 7 minutes after a couple of suggestions that more time would be helpful.)

And I'm noticing that traffic is substantially up. Some of that is undoubtedly due to the new "look and feel", but we think it's also due to the working search engine, allowing people to look for stuff. Which is great... it's what it's all about.

Sometime in the next 60 days or so, we'll launch the next phase... a full content-based site with articles, tips, links and resources about distance learning... and then there'll be another phase happening not long after that which we're still keeping under wraps.

So... stay tuned. It's our goal to make degreeinfo a true distance learning community, eventually attracting instructors, students, alumni, and anyone else interested.

As always, please post or email any suggestions you may have.

    Thanks!

The look and feel is very good!

What's this "buddy" thingy? ....Nevermind! Found it in the FAQ's. Nice feature this re-edit!

The new board is marvelous. The difference between this and the old one is like day and night. Thanks to the administrators. You are doing a wonderful job here.

Just wanted to add my two cents worth. I wasn’t on the old board very long, but it is easy to see that this new setup is a very worthwhile improvement. Thanks for all the great work on this fantastic site.

Kudos to Chip and Bill! The features of this software are quite impressive (and will become even more impressive as soon as my feeble little mind learns how to employ them fully). If you ever visit Columbus, dinner's on me!
