I'm considering the Masters in Library Science program at Keller Grad School - online. This distance learning is all new to my fiance and I - any feedback, suggestions, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There are quite a few library science programs available through dl, which you might want to consider before making a final decision.

My librarian friends say that if it's not accredited by the American Library Association, don't do it. Most decent librarian jobs require that.

I would, as a librarian, go with ALA accreditation. Go to www.ala.org and look up the schools.

Two in which I have attended are:

    www.unt.edu
    www.nccu.edu

    Both DL and ALA accredited.

I don't see from the devry website that Keller Grad School offers an MLS.

I am a librarian and I can't recommend getting an MLS (or whatver the acronym of the day is -mine is an MS LIS) from a school that is not accredited by the ALA.

Search the ALA site mentioned above any you will find quite a few fully distance learning Masters degrees in Library Science.

Bear in mind the pay generally sucks. Though it can be a quite rewarding profession I'm told.
