I am really looking at this program right now but I have some concerns. I spoke to a customer service rep at AMU but they couldn't give me any more info than what is available on the webpage. I've tried to contact a couple of the instructors with no success so far.

In my undergrad studies I never took statistics or economics. However, in browsing some of the course descriptions for the degree, I'm beginning to think that those subjects will come into play heavily. If anyone has knowledge of this program (or a similar one) - am I getting in way over my head with this degree if I don't have a solid finance/economics/stats background? I'd rather find out now than after I'm already in the classes.

I looked at the MPH as well as the Env Policy. My interest is the Emergency and Disaster Mgt program.

I'm taking the first class of the series for the graduate cert now. Not being a math person, it kind of intimidated me as well. I'm going to take them as late in the program as I can.

I recommend taking stats early on. It is very useful for your other classes.

Thanks for the comments. The University of Denver program is nice, but way out of my price range. I will try to pick up a stats class locally before starting the AMU classes. It definitely can't hurt since I've had no real exposure to it in the past.

I thought that AMU/APU is very close to getting their RA, anyway? Please correct me if that's not the case.
