According to the literature I received, payment is due at the beginning of each school year. However, it also appears you can split that up into 9 payments (3 per year) if you allow them to draft the amount from your checking account (if I read it correctly).

    Hi Rich

Heriot-Watt was never a polytechnic. It was a central institution for many decades, an independent college, founded in 1821. Its 'Associateships' were the equivalent of degrees, if not more prestigeous, largely in technology, science and mathematics.

Polytechnics were an English institution formed by English colleges whose degrees were centrally awarded. They were made up to universities by Mrs Thatcher. By then, Heriot-Watt was already a university and so was its equivalent institution in Glasgow, the Royal College of Science and Technology, which became the University of Strathlcyde.

In common with Heriot-Watt, Strathclyde's 'Associateships' were converted to full degrees retrospectively (though many holders of them opted to keep their Associateship status because they regarded them, probably correctly, as being worth more than a university degre).

    Kind regards

$24k seems relatively cheap for a doctorate from a university of this calibur.

I would assume that a Leicester doctorate would be held in higher regard in the U.S. or anywhere in the world VS. a Doctorate from Touro, NCU, Unisa, or other DL universities. Mainly because of the fact that Leicester has been around along time and has a good reputation as a research university. Also given the fact that they have a B&M campus/full-time students.

Leicester's DL MBA is I believe GBP6,400. The price listed on their website is for the full-time program. I called Leicester some weeks ago and that's what they told me, if I remember correctly.

In any case, their Doctorate program is more than thair Master's programs.
