A friend of mine is interested in online Six Sigma training.

    The requirements are:

    Must be totally online

Strongly prefer a program offered through a university.

My friend is aware of the Villanova program, as well as Colorado Statue, any other alternatives?

    Thanks in advance.

You may want to check with the Cal State U Dominguez Hills Quality Program to see if they are offering any DL classes.

There has been a bit of discussion on this topic in the past here at DI. Check them out for some very useful information
    http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/39194-passed-pmp.html and http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/33926-six-sigma-black-belt-certification-2.html

On a side note, is there any reason for the university preference? Most, if not nearly all, individuals in the professional world seem to agree that the ASQ certification is the most accepted.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with this, but where did you get this information?
