...found it in my facebook feed, have a look: https://spaceeconomyinstitute.com/master-in-space-economy/ Thoughts? Best regards, Mac Juli
How does this Italian Master's pair with an ENEB MBA? Just kidding. Definitely an innovative program, albeit for a very niche audience. I don't know too many folks planning to become space economy managers. That said, I didn't see any information on credits, length of study, tuition fees, or even accreditation. The program director sounds like he's quite the knowledgeable fellow, who has started numerous schools around the world, so it's a bit disappointing that he's left off key information for this program.
Right - all the key info left off. But, like @TEKMAN, the Founder, Antonio Ragusa, holds an MBA from London’s Imperial College. https://spaceeconomyinstitute.com/about-us/
"Vuole del gazpacho con le linguine, signore?" (Would you like some gazpacho with your linguine, sir?)
There's no pricing in the website links! Grr, sometimes something interesting such as this come along, but not much info on cost, ease, speed, etc... Interesting none the less, even if it's not accredited.
The pricing etc. was all here: https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?threads/space-economy-institute-master-of-space-economy.62045/ It was in Dustin's post, in that thread (above) from info he rec'd from the school. Sweet-Secret found it - and commented. "The program fee is €6500 VAT included. The fee can be paid either in one single payment, which grants a 10% discount (in total €5850 instead of €6500)" I read this stuff.
Yes, that matches what they emailed me, although they also say there are some scholarships. "The program fee is €6500 VAT included. The fee can be paid either in one single payment, which grants a 10% discount (in total €5850 instead of €6500) or in four monthly instalments of €1625 each, one at the time of registration and the others at the month following the beginning of the course. This way, you can choose the most convenient payment option for you. Moreover, to facilitate the participation of the most deserving candidates, partial scholarship opportunities are available, and awarded based on meritocratic criteria."
Space LAW is a thing though there's not a lot of it out there (so to speak) yet. A few treaties and some plain old liability issues. Insurance too, I suppose.
Sound like it might be a good thing for retired lawyers to start teaching. (Cartoon) "When you get too old to hunt, you teach a course in how to read buffalo shit." (Eldon Dedini, 1926) https://osucartoons.pastperfectonline.com/Webobject/3B21955F-4D3B-454D-B54A-211370584682
Space Law might even be a source of some business out here...I'm about 45 miles from Spaceport America. (That's not an amusement park...)
Right. It's not. But maybe they might let you set up a Space Law booth, anyway.... for a small percentage.
If I went into Space Law, I'd want to specialize. Space Lawyer to Inter-Galactic Crime Families. I've heard that some top 'consiglieri' to the Space Mob can make four or five million quatloos per...
But if they mess up and the Boss goes to the big Prison Farm on Mars, the 'consigliere' eventually gets found in the baggage compartment of an abandoned rocket in the Asteroid belt...
I don't think the Italians have been stupid enough to launch one of their number into space. At least, not yet. But if they ever do, the freeze dried food will probably be amazing.
