I saw a meme recently of a pile of apples with only one bite in them, and it said "Me to my Udemy courses" The implication being that people buy and start but never finish Udemy courses. While, guilty! I had one Udemy course at 5% I'd bought. I recently bought 2 more, Salesforce-related. I'm now going through them 30 minutes at a time so I'm not the apple kid. What are your favorite MOOCs, skillshares, udemy, etc.?
Udemy. Psychology of Human Sexuality. Alison - Psychology of Language, Global Islamic Banking and Finance. All instructors extremely well-qualified. Next up, for me: Udemy - Psychology of Women. Outside of Udemy, etc - back to career school, for dressmaking. Want to make all those things I designed in (and after) the Fashion Design course last winter.
Udemy, they're more like "intro" freebie courses, most of them that I've used are basically giving you a brief overview of the subject matter. If they do have courses that will provide college credit or ACE/NCCRS recommendation in the future, that would be an amazing option, until then, I really don't have a favorite course, I've gone through a few just to test the system and see how well that particular course is made.
If you're getting freebies, THAT good and in THAT kind of astonishing variety --I'd like to know where. My first three instructors: One was a US professor at a large RA school, one was teaching Master's level at a well-known Australian Uni and the third was a PhD teaching at an Indian IIT. (IIT's are among the best schools in India.) "Credit? I don't need no stinkin' credit." If you've been sittin' on a wide selection of useful freebies this good -- Then c'mon - please cough up your source! This I GOTTA see!
You have to look every day to find anything worth "buying", but you can find a ton of freebies here: https://idownloadcoupon.com/product/udemy-paid-courses-free-with-certificate/
This one is said to be very good: https://www.udemy.com/course/diploma-in-modern-applied-psychology-achology-certified/
Wow! That's the "Swiss Army" Psychology course - it's got EVERYTHING! Great find. ...What's this blade for...?
As a follow-up remark, somebody over on the other site told me that Achology will let you send over your Udemy results and will issue you their own diploma. I have yet to follow up on this, but I'd much rather list The Academy of Modern Applied Psychology on my CV (even if only under Continuing Education or Professional Development) than merely Udemy.com.
