Tekman especially now more than ever living in this Post Covid-19 pandemic remote work is becoming more of the norm even at higher-paying salaries. I haven't been in the office permanently for years but for occasional meetings and work sessions. Amazon for example is always seeking talent (both tech and non-tech areas) with many positions around $150K+.

The VUL DHA program would be useful if maybe you were established in a Health IT position. Since you are in Southern California you should also look at UCLA Health or Kaiser Permanente job sites for example as they are frequently Business & IT Software QA Engineer or Testing positions

Six Flags must read the article, there is no more free food. The most expensive membership, $230.00 per year comes with a 50% discount on some of the food and merchandise. If 50% discount on food at Six Flags, properly more expensive than the regular price outside of Six Flags. :D

Looks like they still sell meal plans and they’re dirt cheap. I’ve never been to Six Flags, no idea on what food options they have. Just got back from a week at Disney though and the mouse is much more astute as a standover man, particularly when it comes to shaking coins for meal plans. Not sure how Six Flags can pull their pricing in a sustainable or profitable manner.

Would also argue that the opportunity cost of the engineer doing this, were staggering high. Especially in their regional labor market.

I am not a huge fan of the general MBA. The degrees tend expensive and the positions that really pay well are looking for graduates of a small handful of elite business schools. Not to say there's never any reason to get a non-top-flight degree but it strikes me as a dicey proposition financially. But here's the thing: I think there's a lot of potential value in earning a business related master's degree that represents a useful skill set. I think a Master of Accountancy, or master's in taxation or IT or even HR might well be worth the expense and effort. To indulge in a trite phrase, the holder of such a degree has something of substance to "bring to the table."
