I agree with this completely. Not only is Pence demonstrably more conservative but his time in office has made him extremely knowledgeable about Washington, the people, the processes, etc. There's every reason to believe he'd be a more effective President. If your motive is to promote a liberal agenda you'd have a much easier time of it with Trump.
IF your ONLY goal is to promote liberal agenda. One can be a liberal and still prefer a more effective President, for country's sake. Promoting agendas is not a President's only job.
I only meant that Pence is quite conservative and he actually knows how to get things done. It's certainly true that you'd want a President to be an effective leader, commander in chief, etc.
Yes. And on all these dimensions Vice President Q-Tip is... no one's first choice, to be sure. But - but! he's measurably better than a guy most known for playing a billionaire on TV, and for crazy Twitter rants. There's no obvious way to replace Trump with someone who'd be actually good, until 2020, so we're stuck with (and this is the best-case scenario) whomever is on the succession line. Fun thought: what if more and more of them are implicated in something, and we get President Rick Perry . Then again, as fun as this is, he has more aptitude for the job, still, than the guy doing it now.
