Good one. I'm sure any of us could think of schools we think belong more on such a list, but any list that reminds people that there are a lot of options out there beyond those schools that market incessantly is a step in the right direction.
I haven't heard of most of these colleges. I'm very surprised that many of the schools mentioned on this forum weren't on this list....
#5 Fort Hays State has been mentioned many times on DI. IIRC most people recommended this college for affordable course taking. I also like #14 California University of Pennsylvania. Outside of Pennsylvania that might raise some eyebrows.
They didn't really research this very well. Central Texas College should have been on the list. How could you find out about South Texas College, but not find out about Central Texas College which has a lot more students, especially online? CTC is cheaper than South Texas College for in-district and out-of-district students. It's just $14 more per credit hour for out-of-state students.
