So I've got the list of Australian Universities. Maybe 6 or 8 I could name off the top of my head. The others I recognize like, "Oh yeah, forgot that one." Two I never heard of before. The first one is Torrens University.

Maybe the reason I've never heard of it before is because it's only a year old. It's a part of the Laureate Network. You know, the fine people who bring you Walden University. Anyway, they offer a nice bunch of DL programs, including some "research only" Masters and Doctoral degrees.

Named after Robert Torrens, an Australian legislator most known for developing the Torrens System of Real Estate Registration. Unlike Deed books in much of the US, the Torrens System operates like a Car Title. I learned this nugget of info decades ago getting a Real Estate license I never used.

TAFE - In Australia this is Technical and Further Education. From Wikipedia:

"In Australia, technical and further education or TAFE (/ˈteɪf/) institutions provide a wide range of predominantly vocational tertiary education courses, mostly qualifying courses under the National Training System/Australian Qualifications Framework/Australian Quality Training Framework. Fields covered include business, finance, hospitality, tourism, construction, engineering, visual arts, information technology and community work.

Individual TAFE institutions (usually with numerous campuses) are known as either colleges or institutes, depending on the state or territory. TAFE colleges are owned, operated and financed by the various state and territory governments. This is in contrast to the university sector, whose funding is predominantly the domain of the federal government and whose universities are predominantly owned by the state governments."

Some TAFE courses are DL courses and there are certs, etc. Start here:
