I'm three credits short of completing my AA in Art's & Science at my local community college. They accept almost online universities online credits. I was told that a lot of universities don't give complete credit hours. I travel a lot for work, so I'm really looking for something easy, self paced, college level math that's 3 credit's. I would prefer a course that's not proctored, just so I can complete the course quickly and easily from the road on travel. Any help would be much appreciated.
What level math does this course have to be? Penn Foster offers Math for Business and Finance, $225. It's ACE reviewed and should transfer easily. If it has to be algebra, you'll have to call the Penn Foster Workforce number and order the course. Still $225 and still ACE reviewed. You can also complete algebra through Straighterline, though the final exam is proctored online. That would run you about $150 or so.
Penn Foster only offers one math course that's ace approved, which is business statistics and its only 2 credits where I need 3. Anyone else know of any other universities that offer something similar that would work ????? I need a 1100 level math or higher.
Some ideas here: http://www.degreeinfo.com/clep-dantes-other-exams-credit/43698-need-30-credit-hours-job.html LSU as mentioned above, Mathematics-Independent Study in Idaho-University of Idaho UAF Correspondence Course Offerings University Online Course Catalog - BYU Independent Study Math > Division of Continuing Education > Colorado State University-Pueblo You know that Straighterline Courses are ACE approved, self paced, and proctored remotely right? Same for ALEKS...which doesn't require any proctor. I'd still check to see if your school will accept them though.
Would a CLEP or DSST exam work for you? Exams Offered | CLEP Test Preparation | DSST | Get College Credit
Wow, sure enough. Sorry about that. I'm pretty sure I took algebra from Penn Foster 4 or 5 years ago and received ACE credit. I'll have to check my ACE transcript.
I went back and checked my ACE transcript. Penn Foster's Technical Math 1 (MAT102) was ACE evaluated as being worth 3 semester hours at the undergrad level in College Algebra. Unfortunately, I no longer see Technical Math 1 listed on the ACE site for Penn Foster, so I assume the course is no longer offered.
Has anyone mentioned ALEKS for math? Just make sure you choose an ACE accredited class, not all of the ALEKS courses are.
