Thanks for updating this. I started teaching myself stats recently and see clearly how folks with strong stats skills will be in VERY high demand in the future.
Stanford University (specifically their Center for Professional Development) offers a subset, in the current term two, of the courses towards their M.S. in Statistics online. They stress that "This degree requires on campus attendance, as a majority of the coursework is not available at a distance."
I ha ve three really good documents. If you PM me your email address I will send them. One is Cohen's Power Primer.
Here are the links I found to the docs - http://www2.psych.ubc.ca/~schaller/349and449Readings/Cohen1992.pdf http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/74/InferentialStatisticalDecisionMakingTrees.pdf - this has two pages
Thanks, Randell. I'll check those out. I find it ironic that statistics was of the only classes I had in college that I paid ZERO attention to because I didn't see how it would be useful for anything. Now I am dusting off my old textbooks and giving it another go.
Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies Master of Science in Predictive Analysis Completely online. A sort of MIS-statistics hybrid, with courses in database management and data mining, statistical analysis and predictive modeling, and project management and other supporting subjects.
