My house will be on the market as of the 2nd of January. It has a value of $169,000 but due to time issues I will only be asking $159,999. Its in Lufkin, TX and its a growing area. I thought I would put the word out!! Me and my family will be moving back to Houston. My brother and Father live there and thats where I'm from. My wife will be going back to school as well, which means a lot more money for us when she's done.
I know...I can not so fondly remember those great two a day football practices. But I love the town, lots of things to do and the people are pretty nice at that. I want to get a loft downtown but the wife wants to live in the woodlands. I think Cypress on the north side would be a nice compromise. I myself grew up in the heights off of west 22nd St. what part of Houston are you from?
That thought has crossed my mind, but I figured I will wait until the home prices here in the bay area increase before making the move. My house was in the $575-$585 range, I'm not expecting to get that out of it, but when it hits the low fours I might have to move east. . .
My home is in Dallas, and currently renting out. However, I lose so much money yearly. I really want to sell it, so I don't have to worry about the mortgage. I really want to move to Denver, Colorado once I sell it. I owe about $185K in the house, but Zillow appraise $257K; and property taxes at $232K.
My brother lives in Katy, TX and loves it down there. I have heard both good and bad things about it, but Houston seems like a decent place to live. My next move, job opportunities depending, will be down to Texas. I can't stand winter anymore. Housing seems reasonable as well.
Took an offer of $155,000 on the house today! Yea!!! It's only $4,900 less than I was asking and a huge profit from what we bought it at............and they say the markets down. Now if you live in Houston and you see my 2002 B4C Z28 Camaro around town you'll know its me..I'm so happy!!!
I'm not sure I'm buying the house is the American dream thing anymore................if I buy anything it will be a town house.
