Are there any school librarian master's degrees for $10,000 or less and that don't have standardized test admission requirements, or that allow the MAT for entrance instead of the GRE?
Mansfield University of Pennsylvania Mansfield University of Pennsylvania - Developing Tomorrow's Leaders offers an online MEd in School Librarianship. Not sure about tuition.
I can't say I know any off the top of my head that meet the criteria. Our school librarian did her program through Florida State. When I was considering doing such a program, one thing she suggested to me was to check into the Academic Common Market. Virginia doesn't offer library science programs, so through the ACM we can enroll in out of state library science programs at the in state cost. That might save you some money if your state doesn't do such programs. -Matt
You have to check out the Gradschool's site suggestion. URL: 42 Online Library/Information Sciences Masters Programs & Graduate Schools Page No: 1 - GradSchools.com . They have a good list for the program, but not exactly the tuition range.
Thanks, looks like a good program, but they require a week on campus, and I'm not close enough to them to do that.
Thanks, Ted; I had just found them. I like their program; it runs close to $20000, but they do offer a Laura Bush scholarship which would pay 50% of tuition.
Right, I forgot to mention that. I had a friend do that program a couple of years back, and she said there were people who flew in from different parts of the country just for that. Maybe that's not an option for you. Best of luck!
