Hello All, does anyone know if its possible to throw FEMA credits on an ACE transcript. If possible how much does it cost? Thank you, ASGTV
Nope, FEMA courses are not covered by ACE recommendations. There are 3 NFA courses similar to the FEMA courses that ACE will transcribe though.
I got some fema/ nfa credits transcripted by ace Fire Service Supervision: Self Study 8/14/2008 Credit Organization: National Emergency Training Center (NFA) Organization Course Number: Q318 ACE Course Number: NNFA-0145 Self-Study Course for Community Safey Educators 8/15/2008 Credit Organization: National Emergency Training Center (NFA) Organization Course Number: Q118 ACE Course Number: NNFA-0149 It costs $40 for your first transcript. Excelsior accepted them. That's $40 for 2 credits!
These are not FEMA courses. I believe the FEMA courses that the OP is speaking about are the Independent study courses on training.fema.gov If you were to attend the resident courses that FEMA has then you would be able to add that to your ACE transcript. The are accredited through ace. The courses you listed are NFA, And there is now a third course that is accredited. Its about Hydraulic Calculations.
FEMA Independent study courses are not ACE, but most of the other FEMA courses (resident and local delivery) are.
